This isn’t totally a magic trick because at the end they’ll learn how to do it. But it’s fun to do and people will still be amazed. For this you’ll need a deck of cards and a hat.
Effect: Bet your audience that you can drop more cards into the hat from a height of 4 feet than they can. Give the deck to your spectator to try first and then count how many they get in. But when you do it, you get nearly all of them in!
Method: Hold the card lightly between diagonal corners by the first finger and thumb. The rest of the fingers are out of the way. Hold the card parallel to the floor (and the hat) and drop the card directly over the hat. The card will fall straight down into the hat. Once you get more cards in then they do, collect your money.
